Why Use GameStix?

A WAR ON WEIGHT

Growing up as a lifelong bowhunter, I learned early on that every ounce matters in the backcountry. The deeper I ventured into the mountains, the more weight became my enemy, and I found myself obsessing over ways to make my hunts more efficient. I knew that deboning meat could drastically cut weight, but it always came with trade-offs—losing the natural structure that bone provides made meat harder to handle, hang, and keep cool. Still, the farther I pushed into rugged drainages and remote ridgelines, the more I leaned toward stripping away unnecessary pounds. But I needed a better solution. I wanted the stability and airflow that bone-in quarters provide without the extra burden.
That’s why I created GameStix—a lightweight yet rigid system designed to support, cool, and protect meat without the weight of the bone. It allows hunters to hang their meat efficiently, keeping it clean and cool while making pack-outs far more manageable. Because in the backcountry, every hunt is situational—but weight should never be what holds you back from that next ridge.
